about

Sadducees today, don't exist persay
I would actually say, the area is rather grey
It's sad you see, because of some Hebrew Roots
Extremely conservative Rabbis have twisted the truth

You can see them today, some might call them a Cahn
You can see how some stray, when some might use John
They've been quoting scripture wrong, all along
And now I am wrong, because I say they're wrong

Four Blood Moons, or lunar eclipses
In store love blooms, and evil is eclipsed kids
These kids still playing games, tryna hit the reset button
Yet they want us to buy their freeze dried food y'all frontin

Religiously, the Sadducees were more conservative in one main area of doctrine. The Pharisees gave oral tradition equal authority to the written Word of God, while the Sadducees considered only the written Word to be from God. The Sadducees preserved the authority of the written Word of God, especially the books of Moses (Genesis through Deuteronomy). While they could be commended for this, they definitely were not perfect in their doctrinal views.

The following is a brief list of beliefs they held that contradict Scripture:

1. They were extremely self-sufficient to the point of denying God's involvement in everyday life.

2. They denied any resurrection of the dead (Matthew 22:23; Mark 12:18-27; Acts 23:8).

3. They denied any afterlife, holding that the soul perished at death, and therefore denying any penalty or reward after the earthly life.

4. They denied the existence of a spiritual world, i.e., angels and demons (Acts 23:8).

Four Blood Moons, or lunar eclipses
In store love blooms, and evil is eclipsed kids
These kids still playing games, tryna hit the reset button
Yet they want us to buy their books like food for a glutton

Here's food for a thought something you never thought of holler
Why are preppers and survivalist buying into bottom dollar
What I mean is why yall funding these cats that be frontin
I say read the parable of the ten talents, truly learn something

If you still don't get it, redial, you might have missed it
1-800-Give2Live, don't forget that 6th digit
This is not the L-word, naw, it's the S-Word
So onward I will march soldiers, time to move forward

So many sadducees, try to seduce you and me
I am only 33, but I'm here to set my people free
So many sadducess, try to seduce me and you
I'll loose what heaven'll loose, I'm here to state the truth

Because the Sadducees were more concerned with politics than religion,
they were unconcerned with Jesus until they became afraid He might bring unwanted Roman attention.

It was at this point that the Sadducees and Pharisees united
and conspired to put Christ to death it as ignited (John 11:48-50; Mark 14:53; 15:1).
Other mentions of the Sadducees are found in Acts 4:1 and Acts 5:17 too
and the Sadducees are implicated in the death of James (Acts 12:1-2)

The Sadducees ceased to exist in A.D. 70. I summize
Since this party existed because of their political and priestly ties,
when Rome destroyed Jerusalem and the temple in A.D. 70,
the Sadducees were also destroyed. It's sad you see

But do they still exist with another name or movement
Are they in cults or religion or how would they do it
Maybe they are authors who write bogus fiction
Or maybe they Hebrew Roots claiming a new religion

Oh, the mystery is in the history so buy my book it's exquisite
If you still don't get it, redial, you might have missed it

lyrics

In the Law of Moses, God required that His chosen people, the Children of Israel, cease from their work on the seventh day of each week (the Sabbath). In addition to the Sabbath day, the Lord also instructed Israel to observe every seventh year as a Sabbath, as well. During the Sabbath year, the Israelites were to allow the land to rest from planting and harvesting and to allow whatever came up on its own to be picked by the poor among them. (Exodus 23:10-12; Leviticus 25:1-7)

And just as God had provided a double-portion of manna
on the 6th day of each week this we understand bruh
while the Israelites were in the wilderness they managed
they would not have to work on the Sabbath,
the Lord actually tripled the harvest in the sixth year
to carry them through to the harvest in the first year
of the new seven-year cycle. Not only was it an agrarian cycle,
but it was an economic one, as well.
On the last day of the Sabbath year lets see
lenders were required to forgive or “release”
the meaning of “Shemitah” you think this is it bruh?
borrowers from the obligation of repaying their debts yeah

Over time, the last day of the Sabbath year
and the year itself came to be known as the “Shemitah”
Although one would naturally suppose that such a system would wreck an economy and the lives of those who possessed enough to be lenders rather than borrowers,

once again keeping the Lord’s command
in this matter would be a source of blessing rather than hardship:

…for the Lord will greatly bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance—only if you carefully obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe with care all these commandments which I command you today. For the Lord your God will bless you just as He promised you; you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you. (Deuteronomy 15:4a-6)
Among other serious sins, the Israelites disobeyed the Lord’s command not to take foreign wives who came from nations where idolatry and the worship of false gods was practiced (Deuteronomy 7:1-5).  As a result, the idolatrous practices and pagan worship of those nations became an integral part of Israel’s own religious practices. Consequently, the worship of the one true God was largely abandoned and the Law of Moses was largely ignored. By the end of the sixth century B.C., Israel had failed to observe a total of seventy Sabbath / Shemitah years.
In judgment against Israel’s pervasive and persistent sin, God used the Babylonian empire to execute judgment upon the southern kingdom of Judah beginning in 606 B.C., just as He had used the Assyrians over a century earlier against the northern kingdom of Israel. In addition to ultimately leveling Jerusalem and destroying the temple, the Babylonians carried away large numbers of Israelites into captivity—a captivity that lasted for 70 years—one year for each Sabbath year that the nation had failed to observe the Shemitah. Thus, because of this God-imposed Shemitah with the Israelites being in captivity in Babylon, the Promised Land “rested” for the same number of years that the Israelites had failed to allow the land to rest as the Lord had commanded (2 Chronicles 36:20-21).

Of a foreigner you may require it; but you shall give up your claim to what is owed by your brother, except when there may be no poor among you; for the Lord will greatly bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance—only if you carefully obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe with care all these commandments which I command you today. (Deuteronomy 15:3-5)

Bat your eyes girl, be otherworldly,
count your blessings, seduce a stranger.
What's so wrong with being happy?
Kudos to those who see through sickness.

When she woke in the morning
she knew that her life had passed her by.
And she called out a warning,
"Don't ever let life pass you by."

I suggest we learn to love ourselves before it's made illegal.
When will we learn? When will we change?
Just in time to see it all fall down.
Those left standing... will make millions...
writing books on the way it should have been.

When she woke in the morning
she knew that her life had passed her by.
And she called out a warning,
"Don't ever let life pass you by."

Floating in this cosmic jacuzzi
we are like frogs oblivious to the water starting to boil.
No one flinches, we all float face down.

When she woke in the morning
she knew that her life had passed her by.
And she called out a warning,
"Don't ever let life pass you by."
