I wake up to another day right another ray of sunlight
I know that some nights that some fight right
It's alright because yesterday has gone today has begun
A new day has come and I thank you for this one
Lord. As I unlock my phone I look up your poem
A little love letter a little inspiration it's better known
I want the words to be known even when I'm alone
Know them in my heart and live them out in action
I'm sorry I was slacking I'm praying for compassion
I know I wasn't asking but this mask I remove now
The past has passed and there's no reason to be fake
How could we try to escape this great mistake we made
I've cried in shame and now I just pray

I need you more than ever! Now that I married
I take up my cross and it's like I never carried
‘Cause my back is sore and my shoulders are sore
More than before I explore more I'm sure
You expand my horizons to help me grow
I never did know like I know now so
I continue to grow! Water seeds you sow
Let them grow let me tend to them whoa
If I can be an example then just use me
The world once abused me they were through with me
So they threw me away just like newspapers from yesterday
It's strange in this strange place so replace this bitter taste
